I was trying to get some biscuits made the other night, and J.D. and Kaylah really wanted to help. I was kind of in a hurry, but I felt bad for not letting them help. I thought I could occupy them by letting them "cook" in some containers on the kitchen table. Well...I should have put something else in the containers besides flour! Kaylah seemed to be doing fine with it, so I went back to my business. But I guess she got bored with cooking so nice and neat! After a bath for Kaylah and several rounds of wiping the table and sweeping the floor we finally sat down to eat those biscuits I'd been in such a hurry to make! I'll have to think of something a little less messy for her to cook with next time. Any suggestions?
Hehe. Rice or dry beans?
ReplyDeleteNext time give them the flour outside...you can spray that off with a water hose...lol! So funny!
ReplyDeleteI let the kids play with flour sometimes too. Sometimes I make some homemade play dough and it ends up being a little too sticky. The kids like to knead it with flour--it keeps them busy for a LONG time. There is a lot of clean up to do at the end, but sometimes it's worth it. :)
