Kaylah kept trying to eat the words, so I put her pacifier in so she couldn't. She still wanted to grab them and bend them all up.
"No, No, Kaylah. Let me grab it from you so it can get bent anyway."
I quickly decided that Kaylah wasn't going to do too well with the words, so I did away with that for the time being. When I took that away, she had to find something else to grab.
"How does it feel if I yank on your lip, J.D.?"
By this time, J.D. was getting irritated at Kaylah, and was about to drop her on the floor. I went ahead and set them on the floor before somebody got hurt.
"Mom, you really need to clean that ceiling fan!"
"Just try and take our picture."
Okay, surely it won't be nearly as hard to just get one of them at a time. Let's start with Kaylah.
"Kaylah, look at the camera, not at the lint on the floor!"
"Mom, the idea is to make sure I'm in the middle of the picture."
Okay, maybe we'll do a little better with J.D., and he's old enough to hold one of the words.
"Dad, you'd never know I love you by this picture..."
"...Or this one..."
"...Or this one."
I finally decided to take what I had and use it - after all Father's Day was the next day! (Nothing like procrastinating.) I picked the best pictures and photoshopped the words into them, sent them online to the 1 hr. photo at CVS, and told David that I needed to go to CVS to "use up some Extrabucks". (If you know me, you'll know he wouldn't think that was out of the ordinary.) I was actually quite surprised at how well the finished product turned out, but I did give David his collage with the stipulation that he help me do a re-take!
That's great! Looks like a lot of fun! I really like that last, serious solo photo of J.D.!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Love all the candid shots too, even if it was not meant to be that way. Dad loves his picture.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Loved looking at all of the pictures. I just love Kaylah's smile on the last picture!
